Spring 2024
Bestowed by my grandma, I have always had a passion for fashion and clothing design, as well as a love for sewing.
For this project, my goal was to design, produce, and successfully brand my own mini “clothing line” with unique designs that reflect my personality and clothing style I also chose to use primarily discarded and recycled materials to create and repurpose each piece.
Initial Sketching/Branding
For the ideation phase, I began my process by sketching out my ideas to upcycle pieces as well as notes to execute it properly and in line with my message and aesthetic.
Additionally, I began brainstorming about my desired type of branding the digital/social media portion of this project. I ideated with different color schemes, font pairings, and logo ideas before creating a custom style guide.
Clothing DESIGN
Once I had created my desired style guide and mood boards for my clothing designs, the next step in my process was to build and sew. I enjoy this process as it helps me understand the technical process that goes behind product design.

Final/Social Media Branding
Once I finished shooting and felt satisfied with the quality and aesthetic of my images, I began editing and compiling information into an EmmaJeanPaints social media account. In this process, I experimented with layout, styles, and making each photoshoot and grouping look cohesive with my desired branding before choosing a final layout.
