EmmaJeanClothes is my exploration of clothing as canvas. I collect and upcycle thrifted or donated garments, transforming them into unique pieces by designing, cutting, and sewing fabric onto them.
This project began when I set out to fix a pair of stained pants and discovered endless creative possibilities. I was drawn to the idea of adapting designs to the organic shapes of the body, turning imperfections into opportunities for artistic expression.
Process
My process begins with sketching and gathering inspiration from photos I find on Pinterest, as well as everyday moments and themes that feel significant to me.
I then sort through my available clothing, selecting colors and patterns that create a cohesive look. From there, I experiment with ideas, refining and bringing them to life through design and stitching.
